  • Place the candle on a flat, flameproof surface away from children, pets, and drafts. 
  • Light candles with a grill lighter or a long fireplace match to avoid burning your fingers. 
  • The wick of the candle should be trimmed to about ¼-inch. This will keep the wick out of the melting wax.
